Coconut rice

Jazz up your rice with Oosum coconut rice blend. A dash of chilli elevates it to dizzy heights. Awesome.

A flavour-full, aromatic quick and easy dish. A great accompaniment to many sauces and soups. Oosum coconut rice blend, simply added to your rice. Achieve pro-like results in minutes.

Ingredients:

2 cups of long basmati grain rice 

4 cups of boiling water 

A healthy pinch of salt

3 tablespoonsoul of Oosum coconut rice blend 

Half cube of vegetable seasoning 

3 tablespoons of organic coconut oil 

A dash of black pepper or a chilli pepper to taste

Method:

Rinse rice and set aside
Add coconut oil to a medium pan, set on very low heat Rinse rice and set aside
Add coconut oil to a medium pan, set on very very low heat
Add Oosum coconut rice blend stir for one minute ( burns quickly) 
Add rice, stir thoroughly for 2 minutes 
Add boiling water stir. Add pepper, salt and seasoning 
Bring to boil. Stir and cover tightly. Reduce heat and allow to simmer for 20 minutes or until all water has been absorbed. Stir and allow to rest for 5 minutes. Serve. Garnish with your choice of herbs.
Can be served as a stand alone main dish or accompany with steamed fish, vegetables and stew or sauce.
